At Little British Schools, learning English is a fun and natural experience. To achieve this, the children are immersed in a 1oo% English environment where they are introduced to the language through entertaining activities.
Our Philosophy: Learning Through Play
Our after-school programmes are designed to be places where each child feels at ease. This welcoming environment allows them to develop self-confidence by learning and having fun. Our teachers guide the children step by step through entertaining activities where they practice English while singing, dancing, and doing arts and crafts. We also use specific themes connected to the season, exploring Halloween, Christmas, Saint Valentine’s Day, Easter, Pancake Day, Saint Patrick’s Day, and more.
This focus on seasonal celebrations enables children to discover anglophone culture alongside the language, as well as its history and its traditions.
Our pedagogical team is made up of native English speakers with experience teaching young children. Our teachers give lessons in our school, our partner establishments and in homes as private tutors, and they are under the direction of Kathryn Little, a qualified AMI Montessori instructor and the founder of Little British Schools.
At the beginning of the year, every child is given their own workbook in which they store their work each afternoon. Parents can review this workbook to keep track of what they are learning, and the themes that they are studying.
To ensure a personal experience and optimal progress, our workshops accept a maximum of 8 children per class.
We have taken care to ensure that our space is welcoming and cosy, so that each child feels completely at ease and truly enjoys learning English. Children are highly attuned to their environments, and we place a high importance on ensuring the quality of our classroom.
Our English programme follows the school year. During the school holidays, subject to availability, we organize seasonal workshops with special activities.
To ensure a high-quality learning experience, our teachers work with high-quality materials adapted for children in order to encourage open-mindedness and curiosity. Our programme stimulates the senses of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch through the use of specific themes.
