Set in a Grade I listed Palladian country house with 50 acres of landscaped grounds, Queen Mary’s School offers a truly magical experience. Crackling log fires, adorable school dogs— this is an enchanting place that encourages girls to camp, canoe and build their own dens. The innocence of childhood is preciously guarded and whilst academia is a high priority, Queen Mary’s strives to develop each girl as a whole, helping her to discover, dream and build on her strengths. The girls are all encouraged to be outside and often swim in the river that passes through the green grounds! (just one example of the liberty that a child enjoys at boarding school). And when it’s too wet to go outside, girls can be found sliding down the staircase of the Great Hall on gym mats ! On a Friday evening all the boarders congregate in a mass of fluffy duvets to watch a film.
An extraordinary school that encourages a real sense of adventure.
